Budapest Opera Ball
Annual event: February or March
A spectacular and traditional event that is looked forward to every year by Hungarians and others that appreciate fine music and a night of dancing!
As well as a showcase of one of Hungary's many areas of performing arts in which it excels by world standards, the ball is an exciting event for the hundred or so debutante dancers that open the evening. Many world renowned guests stars are invited to perform and entertain the guests who can enjoy the finest music and singing until dawn.

Budapest Spring Festival
Annual event: March- April
Another showcase of Hungary's finest orchestras, opera performers, folk dancers, Jazz musicians, visual artists, dancers, and special events for children. Various events are held around the city at various venues and timetables. Not just a celebration of the arrival of Spring, but also that Hungary's range of performance art and cultural entertainment is alive and well!

Summer on the Chain Bridge
Annual event: June- August
A terrific family event to enjoy during the summer months with street artists, performers, international food and markets alongside the local Budapest craft markets that are usually found on the chain bridge selling their wares. Every year the schedule changes and free outdoor concerts of all kinds are organised.

Jewish Summer Festival
Annual event: Late August- September
A celebration of art, history and culture and everyone from any kind of religeous or cultural background is welcome. A great chance for Jewish citizens to get together and showcase their talents and celebrate their beliefs.
The first festival was held in 1998 and since then it has become an annual event. Various exhibitions, performances and events are held throughout the city at various venues. Tickets are usually sold seperately for each event.
